Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American scientist and inventor who was born on July 10, 1856. He died on January 7, 1943, living an impactful life for 87 years. He was also popularly known as an expert in Engineering, Electrical, and Mechanical, and had tremendous achievements in the field. He is often referred to as a futurist; this was because he had so many bright ideas on how he can revamp the world with his inventions. Nikola Tesla was prominent and widely recognized all over the world for his contributions to the electricity supply system. He achieved a great work in the design of the present alternating current (AC). He is also famous for his creation of the ‘Tesla coil’, which is still an important component in radio technology.
Tesla had his early life in the Austrian empire, modern Croatia. He later moved to the United States where he worked with Thomas Edison for some years. During the 1870s, Tesla was a student of physics and engineering, but unfortunately, he was not conferred a degree. In the early 1880s, he improved his experience with his practical work with Edison in telephony. They were working on the new electric power industry. He later became a citizen of the US and after some years, Tesla started on his own in the city of New York. He built several laboratories and industries where he was able to produce varied mechanical and electrical devices.
Nikola Tesla was able to obtain full patents and licenses for all his work and creations during his career. These patents include his researches, inventions, and writings. Besides his innovation in alternating current, Tesla also had an impact on the AC Hydroelectric Power Plant in 1895.
