The earliest origins of classical music dated back to the 11th century of Europe.

The term "classical music" was not widely used until the turn of the 19th century, during the time when famous composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven rose to prominence, also known as the golden era in classical music history.
